RULES:

  1. Player can pickup, clean and replace on their fairway only. One Club length side to side or backwards, not forward.

  2. Have to play the ball in the rough as it lies unless it is on a rock or a root. Then the player can place the ball away from the object but no closer to the hole.

  3. Wet/rain days, if announced ahead of round, we may allow pickup and cleaning on the entire course.

  4. Have to hole the ball. No gimmies

  5. Ladies will play the course scorecard if there are any differences between forward  and back tees

  6. Par difference at Colebrook's #5 & #14:  Men playing from forward tees will play it as a Par 5.

  7. Ball out of bounds or lost.  Drop where the ball went out of bounds or lost, take one stroke and play on.

  8. Leaf rule – In fall, if ball is lost in leaf pile and not found, drop near spot, no penalty, play on.

  9. USGA golf rules apply for the match

  10. Men 75 and over play from tees between whites and the most forward tees if the course has 3 sets of tees.  If the course only has 2 sets then they play from the forward tees (colors will be announced before the round starts). Women play from the forward tees (color will be announced before the round starts).  All others play from the back tees (color to be announced before the round starts).

  11. Once a male player has reached the age of 75 they can elect to move forward at any time and will be limited to the +/- 3 points for the next 3 consecutive games.  They cannot move back after making the election to move forward.

  12. Men who are 85 or over and have a quota of 9 or less can score 1/2 point for a double bogie. Women who have a quota of 6 or less or are 75 and older can score 1/2 point for a double bogie.  At the end of the round any 1/2 point will be ignored - i.e. total points earned were 9 1/2 will be counted as 9.  Any residual 1/2 may be used to break a tie between teams.

  13. First time players or players moving to a new Tee box can only score +/- 3 points for the next 3 consecutive plays. This rule is in effect for team and individual prizes.  The players individual quota will be adjusted based on their actual results.  After the first 3 plays scoring continues as normal.
